Their communication is top notch, by email, text message, or phone. They even managed to squeeze in my installation the day after I called to schedule. Prior to the install, they came out to the house four or five times to coordinate with the contractor doing our remodel to ensure a perfect fit with the right hook ups. This was, of course, free of charge. In a purchase such as a new fireplace or insert, not only is the product extremely important but the sales installation and service experience has to be spot on. Ryan and Derek made me feel like I was buying a Ferrari, and the new unit is just as hot. I honestly can't give a higher recommendation than these two and they're excellent product line. I promise we did our homework, and visited a number of the other stores in the area. While the breadth of the selection at Summit may not have been as big as some of the others, the quality of the units and above all the attentiveness of the service far and away exceeded anything else we saw. Had I known how competent the Summit would be, I would have happily paid double what we did. As it is, Summit's bid came in solidly competitive and we're just thrilled with the outcome. “I usually do not spend time writing reviews but I have been so pleased with Summit that I decided to write one. I bought a gas insert from them. I found them online and contacted them by email. I was a little bit worried since I didn't know them but I had already read good reviews about them. The next day, they called me back. And from there, it was a very smooth and customer friendly process. Dereck came to give me an estimate within a few days.
Before buying the unit (gas insert), I wanted to see one in action. Ryan spent time with me at the shop to explain the difference between the units. He was very friendly and didn't pressure me to buy. Since they didn't have the contemporary gas insert I wanted at the store, they gave me the name of a client who bought the same one and agreed for me to come over. It didn't work out so they gave me the name of a competitor who had the unit in his show room. They took the risk of me buying it from that competitor. Since I needed to have a gas line installed, Dereck did not only give me the names of a plumber and an electrician but he coordinated with them so I didn't have to. He managed to get them scheduled to come to my house on the same day. When the three of them came to work, Derek helped them to ensure everything was done the most effective way and especially the cheapest way for me. They all did a fantastic job and the unit looks wonderful. It is a very quality unit.
When Dereck left my house, he didn't even ask for the balance I still owed him. When I asked about it, he just said to come by the store or call the store when I had a chance. Unbelievable. I went to the store the next day to pay and asked Ryan what kind of paint I should use to paint the bricks around the fireplace. He, then, gave me a brand new can of paint for free.
I can't recommend Summit enough. Not only for the quality of their work, the quality of their units, but also for the top customer service (before and after you buy). I have already recommended them to my neighbor.”
